Hello! I recently was able to purchase a scope at a great price and did not realize until I got home that it is what is considered a "short action" scope. It is the Bushnell Elite 3200 3-10x40 - model #323104M. I don't know much about short action scopes but from what I can understand, the tube is slightly shorter to allow the user to mount it better on short action (300WSM, etc) bolt action rifles.
I planned on getting it as a medium range scope for use in a one piece mount (the Leupold I.M.S. forward canted mount for AR rifles) on my AR180b and I was wondering if it would be okay for this application? Is it only to be mounted on short action bolt action rifles or is it able to be mounted on them, as well as being used for every other purpose? I don't want to mess up P.O.I. or run into any issues by running it on my AR180b. Some pictures are included below showing my setup. Any information/questions/comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
