Short barrel 22lr upper

Hi, anyone have any experience with a short barrel 22lr ar15 upper? I currently have a 16” upper that is fun and accurate to shoot! but recently I’ve wanted to find a 7 or 10 inch barrel and make a smaller and more compact. I can’t find any short barrels listed for sale so I’m guessing it’s not a popular thing to do? Where would I look for one in Canada?

I have a CMMG .22 upper that I purchased from Questar a few years ago:

To be honest, this bull barrel DPMS .22 upper shoots way better (more accurate & more reliable):
