Hey all, I need some advice please!
Just noticed the shank on my new barrel is very short..
We're talking less than half of an inch from receiver threads to the beginning of the taper on a Rem Varmint contour. The barrel is chambered in 260 and I'm curious if this is enough meat around the chamber to be safe. I hand load so I'm usually watching my brass, expecting it to give.. not even thinking about the barrel!
Also, could this have a negative affect on accuracy?
