I've seen that the AR's down in the States are selling like hot cakes and are drying up. So... what about short barreled AR's? I assume that these will be more available seeing that it's harder to get due to a tax stamp? And Class 3 license (correct me here)? Or am I dead wrong that ANY AR even AR-10's are being eaten up by consumers?

I believe any semi auto rifle are being sold out pretty fast.
Also I think Americans can buy the short barrel upper and they do not need stamp for it. If they put it on an AR15 lower, then they need a stamp.

But they can always buy the short barrel ar15 and apply for the stamp and wait for the stamp to come.

So what is the question?

You want one?

You want to know where to get one?

You want to know if they are available?

There are a few dealers here that can manufacture Barrels. So Short Barreled Uppers will NEVER be a problem.
We also get Norinco... :)

So forget the panic buying in the U.S.

I wanted to by the Daniel Defense SSP (Special Services Package) but Wolverine sold it already.... I shoulda bought it but I guess the wait for the next shipment may be "in a very long time".

That package was on their website for a good 2 weeks before it was sold.
Can not wait for mine to arrive...went down to the BC CFO office yesterday and they approved the transfer on the spot.

We have placed orders for the whole of 2013 with Daniel Defence, I am sure we will have guns in Canada when they will be non existent in the US!

That makes sense, the proposed US ban shouldn't have any affect on exports - save for the lack of current stock levels due to the panic buying.

However if the ban is delayed/defeated then we may be in for a shortage as they re-supply the domestic market, we'll see.
