I just picked up a choked 12.5 inch 870 barrel from dlask and I love it so far but am curious about a couple of things.

What kind of velocities are you guys getting from slugs in your 12.5/14" barrels?

Accuracy?

What sort of choke are you using, and are the slugs still accurate with it?

Is there a good compromise?



p.s., if anyone has a knoxx specops stock with the recoil mechanism they want to sell, I am game.

They're great barrels,
Veloicty loss isn't too bad, do a search on the subject and you will find actual velocities posted. I have posted velocities from 8.5", 14" and 20" 870s with slugs.

Accuracy wise they shoot well. Accuracy isn't lost in a shorter barrel it is just the shorter sight radius that is more of a limiting factor.

It takes a little more concentration to aim the shorter barrel blade sight guns but they can do plenty fine.
