Short Barrelled Lee Enfield?

If a manufacturer was to step up and make some "short" (14"-16" perhaps) Lee Enfield barrels, do you think they would be well received?

The Australians went as far as building 100 test rifles ...

Yes, yours is just one inch shorter than mine and mine is also uncomfortable to shoot. And please, don't someone say to wear ear muffs!
This is why I consider 20 inches as a minimum for large centre fires, but I prefer 22".
Those who want to have a 303 British in 12 and 14 inch length barrels are certainly welcome to them.
