Short-'er' barrel length PCCs?

...Also, PC9 trigger uses the same guts as 10/22. Volquartsen kits, I heard, work really well. Kidd trigger job kit is not compatible with PC9 as it causes all kinds of interesting malfunctions.

PC carbine has its own part number in regards to the trigger packs.

I confirm: VQ HP Action Kit for 10/22 part number VC10HP-B-10 works in Ruger PC9. The only part that is 10/22 specific is the bolt buffer. I also kept the stock hammer spring.

The VQ kit cleans up trigger pull (not Strayer Voigt Inc. nice, but waay nicer than stock) and also adds adjustable overtravel (don't forget to loctite the adjustment screw) = shorter reset and faster splits.

i put the vq match hammer in my pc9 and was getting a lot of doubling. turns out it was the mcarbo recoil buffer - just a bit thicker, and the profile on the back of the3 vq hammer is a bit different so disco wasn't engaging every time.

so be prepared to troubleshoot when mix/matching.

it was a few years ago. they'd found a cnc company in canada to make them on spec so no import issues. to be honest the new atrs chassis looks plenty similar (but no sga option).

hey Radium, is that some kind of extended mag release on those spicy Ruger 9mm PCCs? Where do I get that?

So I'm new to this, are there actually competitions just for PCC or are they only used in 3-gun competitions ?

IPSC PCC is the "new" thing. We've had two Canadian Nationals at this point. It's a great way for people to get into IPSC who may not have the option to compete with a handgun. It's a lot of fun!

Nice to see Kodiak Defence is now offering a 9 1/2” upper for the K9 PCC. I’m looking forward to receiving mine, should make a huge difference in transitions and weight on a PCC that I’ve been quite pleased with so far

ok thanks, I will look into that for sure. I picked up a B&T APC9 K-pro when I was unable to get a handgun but it shoots so well that it's actually not much fun, perhaps competition will boost the 'fun' factor :)

Quite impressed with the 9 1/2” upper for the K9 from Kodiak Defence, absolutely changes this carbine. I’ve had the chance to get it out a couple of times now and I’m thinking I will run it this Sunday at IDPA. So far it has been flawless, and with the Tandemkross compensator on it there is almost no movement, super easy to get back on target.IMG_1484.jpegIMG_1495.jpeg
