Short light contour aftermarket 10/22 barrel options

Morning all - What aftermarket options do I have for a short, light contour barrel for the 10/22?

You can get the compact model with the 16" barrel from Ruger, which is great, but I'd like to go even shorter - 12", 10", or maybe even 8" if the OAL with the compact stock is legal.

Looks like Dlask only sells heavy profile barrels, though I'd love to be wrong on that...

Dlask offers a heavy barrel and short carbon fibre options. One could always have a gunsmith turn down the contour of a heavy barrel. Shilen does make light contour 10/22 match barrels if you custom order one, they'll probably do what ever length you want.
 
I just got an email from “rangeview sports”, showing a sale on 12.5” grey birch 10/22 carbon barrels. Not sure if this helps but thought I’d pass along.
 
Dlask has made 12.5" barrels in both sporter and sr22 contour both are slightly larger then stock but much smaller then .920 diameter.

They are waiting for more barrel blanks in order to produce their barrels.

The carbon fiber barrels offer the lighter weight of a sporter barrel in a .920 diameter.
 
Thanks folks, great suggestions all around.

I really don't want a fat barrel of any kind, and I'd prefer to avoid the expense and issues with having a bull barrel reprofiled. I checked with Dlask about sporter contours years ago and they were very clear that they wouldn't do anything other than big fatties.

Looks like the Shilen option so far. Any other suggestions?
