Short M14 Trigger problem

Could use some advice,Trigger guard unlatches very easy
It also comes unlatched when being shot,does not fall open
just comes unlatched.It passes all the advice section tests.
I have had a few of these and still own garands .I am familiar
with the type and have never had this particular problem with
either.Should I bend the trigger guard a bit for a tighter hook up
or?Any advice would help.Regards 375rum
 
Nope it's fine. Just lift the trigger guard around it. As it probaly won't make a differance even if you swap out triggers.
 
Try putting some thin cardstock under the trigger group pads and see how this tighten ups things. Remember the tighter (harder to lock up) the trigger is to lock up the better
 
A little JB weld on the stock.... at the rear of the trigger guard and under the trigger pads may do it and then file it down again....ensure you do the trigger test after assembly on it !!
The trigger group has to be sitting level as well.
