Short Semi Auto Shotgun

Shortest you can get is something like the Benelli M4, unless you can find one like the Sage Sidewinder. You're stuck with atleast the 18.5" barrel and receiver length if you can find something with a recoil tube into the butt.
Semi auto center fire in Canada needs to have a 18.5" barrel to be non restricted so probably best your gonna find is a 20" barrel and put on a pistol grip ? For shotgun it's just easier to go pump/lever/breakopen and then you can get like 13" barrels

As long as the overall length of a shortgun is over 26” and it’s not a semi auto, the barrel can be as short as they want to manufacture it.
I don't own one yet but have shot a friends a bunch of times. Trigger could use some work as it's a tad on the heavy side but it seems to run well, we usually run the handicap stuff through it. Not in the same league as a Benelli, but half the cost and a lot shorter.

My Canuck is great! Tigger and all. Only complaint is that they come bare bones simple. Add more features, price goes up. In any configuration, they are well built and reliable.
More often than not what you see is all you get. For most models there is no aftermarket support, and for the other ones it's often only because parts made for other guns happen to fit. When parts break, you're SOL and have to send it back to the shop you bought it from hopefully for a replacement.
This could all change as the years go on and they become more popular.

In the case of Canuck, O'Dell Engineering provides FULL support--better than anything I have experienced for Remington, hands down. Bullseye London and a number of other retailers are also stocking bolt-on goodies (I just bought a bunch). The reality is that Canuck is here to stay, and us Mossberg and Remington owners (and Benelli owners) need to accept that reality. I was also very skeptical of Turkish quality, but after owning a Canuck 14" pump, I have come to realize that these are very good guns, warranty support is available--and it's good, and you have options. Are there lemons? Yep. However, for every negative comment on Canuck, you can probably find for the others.
