Is there much interest in really short AR's?

This is just something we have been playing around with ..... cause we had a chunk of stainless barrel blank left over ..... and it turned out way better than we had really expected. Barrel is 7.5" stainless match heavy , with a new flash arrestor we are experimenting with ... more to follow.

This one belongs to one of the guys here so it isn't for sale but we have a supply of the forend rails and can do barrels of pretty much any size or shape.

How 'short' can ya go with an AR anyways?

I am mildly interested in prices too - if you're so inclined...nice work BTW...

M2 Corp made 4" and 6" 5.56mm guns and uppers.

Suputin made a 4" gun that ran like an Ingram M-11 when on a F/A lower.

That said I don't see the use of a barrel shorter than 10" on a 5.56mm and preferably 11.5"

In a shorter barrel you are better off with a caliber optimized for that; be it our 6x35mm or the 6.8x43

We can make anything AR. Call the shop (403-277-7768) and we can discuss an AR project for you. Right now we are working on a shorter buffer system.

The flash testing for our new shorty muzzle brake / flash hider went very well so that should be coming in the near future as well.

Could you make one of these (minus the Beta CMag, unless you could acquire one)?

Actually I didn't build that one. I just test fired it and the thing was an evil, fire spitting beast. Kev is right though, it must have run 1400 rpm on FA. And everything glowed red after about 5 mags. It got so hot I couldn't even hang onto it. The platic mag followers began to melt and the oil soaked rag I was using to hold onto the front end kept bursting into flames after each mag. This was it after it cooled down enough so we could touch it again. :)

How do you think the long 77gr bullets would perform in a real shorty? Keeping in mind these kinds of PDW's are really meant to replace a pistol.
