Short term ATT for range

Hi all,

Is it possible to get an ATT to take a handgun to the range before you get your "LTATT"? like a one time thing (to be repeated almost daily). I hear in Ontario it could be a 6 week wait.
 
It's kinda up to the CFO office but the worst they'll say is no to the short-term ATT. I got my LTATT in a week in Ontario just a couple weeks ago, so it may not be too long.
 
Ya, your not going to get a STATT. The Ontario CFO say " no chance" unless you get a letter of invite from the club on their letter head. Even if you have a member willing to take you as a guest, they still won't do it.
 
Is it really that bad in Ontario? In Manitoba I got my last LTATT in about 30 minutes to an hour. Bought it from the range I'm a member at so I got to use it until the documents arrived too.
 
It's unfortunate how different Canada's gun laws are in different provinces in same country. All I had to do was call our CFO and request it, I had it on my fax machine in about 10 minutes. I feel sorry for you guys in ON and PQ.
