I recently let the soon to be wife shoot my .257 vanguard. She has taken a liking to the gun, with the exception that the stock is a bit big for her. Now here I run into my issue, and looking for opinions.
Do I cut the existing synthetic stock down? Can it even be done (the stock sounds like it might be a bit hollow)? This means that it will be too short for me to shoot properly. I would ideally like to keep a stock around for me to use.
Should I get a boyd's (other stock) and cut it down?
Is there a supplier that I can get a short (youth?) stock through for a reasonable price (<$200)?
Am I being unreasonable and should just buy her a rifle with a shorter LOP?
