Well, I just got back from a shopping excursion. I drove across the city to WSS to buy some 12 gauge steel, some trap loads and a hunting licence. I walked around for 5 minutes and could not find one case of steel, just a few individual boxes of high priced stuff. So I asked a clerk where their steel shot was. He told me it is very hard to get and that they had none right now. I told him hunting starts next Monday. He said everyone was having trouble getting it and the price would be quite high. I was a little ticked so I walked out without buying anything, including a licence. I could see why there was only 4 customers in the whole store. I stopped at Cabelas on the way home and had trouble finding a parking spot as it was so busy. Walked to the ammo section and they had more choices of steel shot than you could shake a stick at. So picked up a case at $14.00 per box (Xpert) and a case of trap loads which was $6.00 cheaper than WSS. Cabelas also had Winchester 333 boxes of .22 shells so picked up some of those as well---and even my hunting licence. Anybody else been fed this crap by WSS. Are they going down the tubes that badly in other areas?

Just curious if you checked at the new Peavy Mart across from Princess Auto. I was there yesterday looking for something else and was surprised to see they had a bunch of Remington Gun Club flats, but I wasn't interested in 3 dram loads. Never checked, if they had steel shot, but saw some other hunting equipment.
