43 days in, it's only a big deal because of how genuinely excited I am...also the $3000+ I have ready to go for guns, ammo, and club memberships!

Will post when I actually have it in hand, for reference to others.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. The only difference---I got somehow my licence number through the phone, and I've already ordered my stuff. In a matter of fact, as of now, I already have one restricted and one non-restricted already registered on my name, and they are in the mail already, even though I still don't have my card with me. See, not having the card doesn't mean you're not licenced ;)
 
Checked mail box again tonight, after spending the evening out, and in the box was a letter from the RCMP. My P.A.L. has arrived.

Wrote CFSC exam: February 2010
...long lazy period in between...
Application received: Septembter 14th
Application Processed: Approved, and issued October 19th
P.A.L. received: October 26th

Shopping spree tomorrow. I am a little ticked off that I didn't get my license before checking out the gun store today with friends.
 
How long is it taking from the time you mail your app to the time it has been received in their system? I mailed my upgrade application from PAL to RPAL weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived apparently.

Mine was 2-3 business days by Registered mail. Ontario to NB. Mailed on Friday Oct 1st, showed on line as received Tuesday Oct 5th

I sent my application in by registered mail and they received it Oct,10th
I called them today and did my phone interview. Now I have to tell my references to call them.

Mine was approved on 21st, only 2 days after yours. If we live in somewhat perfect logical world, I should get my licence in the mail tomorrow!
 
Calling works

I read this thread on tues, my references and I called on wed, and my application was completed by the end of the day. I will have it within 14days.

Thanks for the great tip!
 
i just got my licence !!!!!!! off to the stores!!!!!

application was sent in on sept 17th and approved oct 21st. here in a week.

i'm about an hour from the downtown core east so i'm 2 hours closer :)

got the Savage mk2 TRR for the cost of the TR :)
