Shorten PAL Approval Times

What's the deal with the CFO? Are they the only one giving the final review of an application? I thought there was only one of them but it sounds like there are a few per province.Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems weird people in the same province are approved before others who've been waiting longer, like myself at 113 days. Does it really all funnel down to one guy?

ARGH! Why does this process take so damn long!?! This is ridiculous. It's funny how government takes forever to complete things, yet when they want something from you it's due IMMEDIATELY. Frig. End rant.

Patients grasshopper.Mine was in the system Jan 12,I called and was very polite and Feb 8 licence has been approved........Call the 1-800 number and charm the young ladies and watch the process speed up.
I would prb wait a few days, as they prb wont be ready for interviews until then, waiting sucks!!! i totally sympathize
That sounds like like my timeline.
I live Ontario. Sent app to upgrade from PAL to RPAL on Jan 8 2013, faxed test results in a week later, did interviews yesterday and today, just checked and it says it has been issued and if I do not receive in two weeks to call.

My application has been at the BC CFO for like 2 months now. If I call, they just say they haven't got to it and wait.. Like come on.

I feel your pain
They received my application on November 5th, the people in miramachi called my references and myself about 2 weeks later. My app has been sitting with the cfo in Edmonton since just after xmas. Today is 101 days since my application was received and I have not heard a thing since they called me and my references. I called the cfo in Edmonton and the lady I talked to was zero help.
Mailed the wife's and my PAL applications on Jan 8th regular mail. Mine was up on the website on Jan 16th, hers on the 17th. My 28 day waiting period ended on wednesday the 13th. So I called the CFC today feb 15th and simply asked if they needed any additional information, or to do an interview since my 28 days was up, and I am hard to get a hold of due to limited cell coverage around Chetwynd. (the truth). She said, no, nothing needed, looks like your licence has been issued and will be mailed out next week.
For what it's worth, the Wife's is still in processing on the website, and we are just going to leave that one to go through it's course to see if we actually receive it later or not. Will let people know if calling still helps or if it is just luck of the draw.
