Shorten PAL Approval Times

Mailed in Feb 14th
Processing March 7th (or earlier not checking every day)
Initial processing complete March 14th.

Going smooth so far! I would expect it by the end of spring break at this rate. I probably won't bother to call in either. Well maybe if it goes past 45 days.

OHHHHH YEAHHH GOT THE APPROVAL IT'S IN THE MAIL!!!! March 22

Quebec
I mailed 22 feb. Nothing show up yet.
23 march. called and was told they prolly haven't open my mail yet. They are few weeks behind. Advise me call back in a month if I dont see the payment show up on my CC.

Upgrading mine from a PAL to an RPAL. Current pal is still valid. I asked one of my references to call in and he was told they do not accept call-in interviews.

Timelines seem to still vary greatly.

Received my application Jan 9th
Charged my card Feb 5th
Feb 28th my status online changed to “completed initial processing. It is now in progress”
Today March 11th. No status change. Still awaiting. 61st day, no calls yet.

I’m guessing they’re in no rush since I’m not renewing/upgrading near my expiration date. Seeing that the range is wet muddy mess. Waiting isn’t a bad thing right now until it dries up.

My Wife, Myself, and My Child all sent in our (first time) RPAL applications in the same Envelope (registered mail), recieved on Oct 7, My Wife got hers Bang on 45 Days (mid November), My Son was 7 days later (had to call in payment info), However mine finally finished in Late February (had the same message since mid november)..no phone calls to references or any of us. Nothing in background that would flag me for anything....just the luck of the draw (I called and was told that my application is still within the "Normal" processing time.

I posted this in the PAL wait times thread with no response. Maybe it'll get some attention here?
How do you guys go about faxing your CFSC results in once you receive them? I'm sure most people don't have fax machines, does Canada Post offer faxing services? Do you use an online service? Does the CFP give you a number to fax it to?

Numbers are here http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/cont/index-eng.htm

Most Staples, Shoppers Drug Mart, UPS postal outlets, possibly Libraries, offer fax services.

Anybody able to use the RCMP site today? Was trying to assist my wife in logging in to check the status of her application and using both GCkey or signin partner we get a Weblogic Proxy error.

The site is up now.
I called today and was told my application is in the system. But it is in a very early stage. It may take sometime before it get approve.:mad::mad:

mailed from quebec 23 feb
showed on my cc and online on the 26 march .
called 3 april. told me to wait .

First time application for PAL/RPAL in Alberta
Received on Nov 6, 2017
Called in today, and the lady says they must review my application but not yet because some other applications in the queue need to be reviewed first, so mine can take another few months to complete.
No crime history, nothing odd, but still have to wait... this system is broken

It varies by province. I’m on day 85 after they first received it but my local CFO has only had the application on their desk since March 2nd(best guess). So they’ve had it locally for 33 days. Just depends how many they have on their desk.

Pal course date: Jan 6
Report stamped: Jan 18
Application sent in within a couple days of receiving report
Application recieved: Feb 2
Application completed processing: Mar 29
Recieved in the mail: April 9

No references called/no phone calls made to CFO/Ontario

I just did my CFSC and CRFSC on April 4th and 5th (Ontario). Sent out the application with photo on April 6th via letter mail.

Can I just fax my stamped course reports or do they need the physical copy?

Wait until your application shows up online. Once it's online you can fax the reports to them.

Awesome, that would save me at least a week and I won't have worry about the report getting lost. Thanks for the tip, cheers :)
