That sounds pretty good. According to the website they received mine on Nov 10. Also a new applicant for RPAL. Hopefully I'm good to go in January, I wanna get to the range!
I can not tell you how important it is to send the application registered mail (with receipt required) this is now the 3rd time I've had to send in my application, Canada Post has lost it, the first two times, it's been over 6 months since I've started this entire process and they have not yet even received my application. I'm off to the post office again today and this time will pay the extra cash to have it sent registered mail (with receipt required).
I highly recommend anyone starting this process, do it this way from the start.

Anyone know what the current backlog is like for opening mail/getting things into the system? My application was signed received on Nov 27th but yet to show online. Should be past the 28 day period (New r/pal in ON).
Tempted to call in but figured I'd give them until next week due to the holidays and weather closures over the last couple of weeks...

I've heard it's usually 5 weeks. Mine appeared online I think near 5 weeks after received and I didn't have a ton of stat holidays in between. Once it appears online it's generally quick after that (generally, lots of dependant factors).
4 weeks for me, but this is before the holidays. My opinion, you got delayed an extra 2 weeks. Should show up mid-january. Don't forget, due to the holiday sales going on with pretty much every gun store in the country, the CFO are most likely prioritizing transfers right now.
Mine was received in Miramichi on November 7 and wasn't showing in the system until December 16. My status is still "processing".
Hey guys, quick question for anyone who's answered "yes" on a "Section C" question of the application. I was laid-off about 18 months ago because the company I was working for went bankrupt; so I answered "yes" to the part asking about job loss within the last 3 years of course. I included a letter of good standing from the employer and a brief letter with the details of my employment. So, basically I'm wondering if this will slow down the process for getting my license. Has anyone answered yes to one of these questions, and what, if any, is the delay in getting a license approved?

My application was received on Nov 10th and posted online on Dec 8th. I called them today and said that the last representative told me to call in on Jan 2nd to ask if i could possibly have my ref's call in. The very nice lady said " Sure! have any 1 of your ref's call in". My ref called in and 30 mins later it showed online as approved. I would call in man

Completed January 2nd.
No references were called. I called in several times to inquire during the "initial processing" phase, was told to call in "next week" each time.
Hopefully this helps some of you who sent in apps around the same time, but are still stuck in the "processing stage" limbo.

Day 131 and still no change on the site, has anyone else experienced long wait times applying in N.B? I can't help but wonder why the long wait; our population is nowhere near that of any central or western province and yet still the 45 days has been tripled with no change... I really would not like to take time off work to call, be given the runaround and be told not to call back its processing.
That is a long time. Have you tried calling the CFC toll free number? Every time I call I get through within 5mins, so you shouldn't have to take any time off work to make a phone call.
My application was received in Miramichi on Nov 3rd, never showed up on website and by mid December so I called. They made a typo in my name when entering the application information in their system! Process delayed and somewhat restarted - not even my fault. Still "in process" it as of Jan 6th, ~day 60....
