Shorten PAL Approval Times

I don't know if it's been mentioned but it seems that they get the envelope and stamp the date and don't even open it until about day 20. We're about the same time line so should have them show up this week. I'm figuring about Wednesday or thursday.
 
Showed up on line today although being sent back because apparently you can not use your wife as a reference .. Who knew lol so there's an extra month tagged onto the wait time , worst part is is the lady told me for pal they don't and won't call your refrences
 
RPAL approved!
Jan-27 Received in Miramichi
Feb-1 Faxed my CFSC and CRFSC results
Feb-9 Fax was attached to my app and app sent to CFO (SQ)
Mar-22 Both references and myself interviewed, approved and status changed online within 45 minutes!
 
Licence just showed up online. Completed initial processing and is now in progress. Mailed out Feb 20. Currently it's March 23, showed up mid afternoon. So there is no 12:00am data dump as with other government services. Meaning the info is pretty real time. Which I think is important information to know.

Edit: shows as received 02/24 coming from Ontario regular mail

RPAL App received : Feb 15, 2017
Appeared online: March 14, 2017 - I called if it's ok for my reference to call in. Nice Lady on the other line says no problem: My ref called in sameday.
Called in: March 15, 2017 to check if anything else is needed. Lady says all looks ok and my card will be printed in a few days. Check online app no changes.
March 16, 2017: Status changed to application has been processed and license has been issued.
March 23, 2017 Received RPAL Card today!
 
Jan 27 - RPAL Application received
Feb 10 - received notice of missing information
Feb 13 - information completed (I forgot to sign the darn thing) & sent back
Mar 8 - References checked
Mar 17 - License issued online
Mar 22 - Card received in the mail & down the rabbit hole we go!

mailed out march 7. (should have done it so much earlier)
still waiting for it to appear online.
 
Still not sure if CP actually delivered or just fudged the records (happened to me once in 1999, CP lost my docs but recorded as delivered)
OK, it did ... that's a relief ...

Feb 28 - sent by XpressPost from Toronto
Mar 2 - arrived and placed on hold in Miramichi - business closed (got it confirmed by email from RCMP)
Mar 3 - recorded as received on this date (see Mar 28 line)
Mar 6 - status changed to delivered while I was on the phone with CP discussing the situation (private information potentially lost , etc),
so was it actually delivered or they just made it up to avoid having to properly investigate a potential loss of PI, who knows?
Mar 28 - application appeared online with Mar 3 as received day

Mailed out Feb 20 from Ontario regular mail, received Feb 24, showed up online mid afternoon March 23, had one reference call inMarch 24.
 
Here's my timeline so far :

January 28 & 29 - CFSC & CRFSC completed
February 15 - Received stamped results from FSESO
February 22 - Sent completed PAL/RPAL application via registered mail
February 27 - PAL/RPAL delivered to RCMP Miramichi
March 24 - Application appears online as 'in progress'. Called in to see if any additional information was required. Reference called in and completed interview.
April 4 - Approved and issued

Just called in this morning, they are just waiting for my photo (I suppose it needs to be uploaded) hopefully it's not that it's missing. Then they said my license will be printed and then sent out. I also asked if I had to wait for my card to pickup my firearms at my brother in laws house. They said I did need to wait for the actual card.
