Shorten PAL Approval Times

Just apply, the cfo has all the paperwork.. would have been submitted when you took the course..

I did the same 25sh years ago.. got my pal let it expire for 7 years or so and figured i'd have to redo the course until I called and they said I'm good
OK what about applying online v/s paper mail. Is there any difference?

If you have no PAL or expired you will have to mail.. online is only good if valid and pre expiry,
Oh, so the first time PAL application is always mail? didn't know that.
I have couple of more questions
I have done both PAL and RPAL safety courses but I am only interested in having a hunting rifle. Is there any benefit in applying for RPAL as well?
Also if in Section A 2b) if I chose Non-restricted only, should I still send my RPAL safety course certificate in section G or keep it with me for later if I apply for RPAL later?

All course paperwork should have been submitted by the course instructor, as for the Rpal option that's up too you.

Current liberal gov we can't really buy and sell 90sh % of restricted anymore so it's somewhat of a waste, handguns are gone most R rifles are done for etc still some shotguns that are R class..

I have my Rpal as I do still have pistols in my hoard and it costs more to renew and apply than the PAL alone.

You took it, why not apply? It under 90$ for 5 years.

I say better to have it and not need it. Then need it and not have it.

Apperently you can do it online..

Are you trying to argue or what's your angle? My statement was true it costs more.
The cost is peanuts really. If one took the course for both, I don't see the point of only paying for your PAL, seeing it really doesn't cost much more for both. 23$ over 5 years is nothing. You might as well apply for both.

Then if anything happens, someone changes their mind and lets transfer of handguns happen. You got it and not having to apply.

If you're going for Non-restricted only right now, check with the CFP or your instructor about including your RPAL results anyway - it can be a huge time-saver down the road. Sometimes having that paperwork already on file makes upgrading your license later much smoother since you won't have to jump through all the hoops again. Just make sure to double-check the current filing requirements so you don't get hit with any delays or have to resubmit your forms.
