Shorten PAL Approval Times

My process was finally online on Friday. One of my contacts called today for sure, not sure if the other one did yet or not, But I was told (when I called earlier this morning) to call back closer to the end of the week and they would be ready to do my interview over the phone... Fingers crossed maybe I have my PAL in time for some upland game hunting at the end of September....

Well I hope my pal gets here tomorow in the mail I got approved on augest 14 at 1 in the after and today is the 22 and I live in sudbury ontario

My application arrived on Aug 2nd, but still hasn't shown up online. Based on other people's timelines, it should have shown up this week.

At what point should I call in and inquire?

Just a follow-up - my application appeared online somewhere between my initial post and now, and has completed initial processing. Yay!

As a note for others, it looks like the updates aren't posted at the same time in a batch, but rather on a per-application basis.

Delivered on the 2nd, posted on the 23rd.

I called rcmp in bc yesturday the said my license was mailed out last friday hopefully today it will be here I got stuff on order

So this is how my first experience went buying a new firearm. 1 i buy a remington 870 tactical magpul edition for $800 bucks. 2 get home open up the box stuff my 870 with shells and try racking it. 3 it doesnt work it will not feed into the chamber fawwwwwwk lol. The point of the story is i wait all this friggen time to get my licence and this happens to me. Well at least the guys at Crafm in lachine were awsome there gunsmith said he never seen this with a brand new 870 and exchanged it for a another new one. Just wanted to vent a bit guys hope everybody has better luck than me when it comes to buying your first firearm.

So... Called today to check my status. Exactly 28 days after delivery of application, I was approved. Since they don't print on weekends, my PAL/RPAL should be printed Monday or Tuesday and mailed out. Hopefully in 2 weeks it'll be here. Fingers crossed!

Alright, I sent my PAL/RPAL application using expresspost and it was received and signed for on August 23. Thanks to this thread I did not wait to receive my stamped test results first and got my 28 days started earlier. Now I passed the tests on August 15 and was wondering, in Ontario, how long they usually take to get returned. I'm asking because I'm leaving the country next week for a month and was hoping to have them before I left. My application isn't online yet but since it was sent in minus the stamped tests I assume I'll receive a request for more info while I'm gone. Does anyone know how long they wait before cancelling an application if there is no response to their additional info request? Thanks for any insight and I'll try and update my application status as a reference for future CGN users.
