Miramachi received my application early June and in still waiting on bc CFO. Pretty ridiculous. I've made numerous polite calls including the CFO office and no dice
. I'm writing letters next week if I don't hear anything. I know I'd be fired at work if I made people wait this long haha. My in law sent out his a week later and he's in the same boat.

Mailed mine in a month ago, looks like I got a long wait...

Did you try asking for your license number? Or did they not give you any information about the wait?

I think you can request your number after your you've been approved, I haven't been yet. They told me they're way behind stop calling be patient and could take about 5 months

Everyone's different but like I said my brother in law is in the same boat. He's also never got into trouble at all. Luck of the draw I guess

Only Vancouver BC has a long wait. Other places seem to be done in a month or 2. Why is that?

The BC CFO office claims to have a huge backlog and possibly some staffing problems. It has been going on for about six months. IMO we haven't had a decent official explanation yet.

There might be hope. Mine just took over month.
Aug. 7 sent
Aug. 13 recevied
Sept. 3 showed up online
Sept. 11 all interviews done
Sept. 11 updated online as issued

Exact same time line as above! Also, i called to get my license number, and the lady at the rcmp told me she was unable to, but transferred me to my provincial office. (who gave it to me with surprisingly little verification of identity). So for those saying they were denied their numbers, perhaps ask to be transferred to your provinces CFO office. Thanks for the OPs advice, and hope this helps others too.

If you've got non-restricted and are applying for restricted, you've got 5 days left to get your app into the RCMP before the fee waiver expires.

Alright, I sent my PAL/RPAL application using expresspost and it was received and signed for on August 23. Thanks to this thread I did not wait to receive my stamped test results first and got my 28 days started earlier. Now I passed the tests on August 15 and was wondering, in Ontario, how long they usually take to get returned. I'm asking because I'm leaving the country next week for a month and was hoping to have them before I left. My application isn't online yet but since it was sent in minus the stamped tests I assume I'll receive a request for more info while I'm gone. Does anyone know how long they wait before cancelling an application if there is no response to their additional info request? Thanks for any insight and I'll try and update my application status as a reference for future CGN users.

I just checked and my application just showed up on line. When I get back in town at the end of the month I hope my test results will be there so I can fax them in.

Does this mean they may not make me pay $80 for my upgrade (I sent my RPAL application in yesterday)? I was thinking the fee waiver was already gone, so I gave them my cc number. doh!
