Shorten PAL Approval Times

Checked this morning and ........licensed has been issued. Today is coincidentally my birthday so I'm going to try an snag a G19 FDE!
 
Ran out to the mail today and sure enough, an envelope from the RCMP in the box. The wait is finally over! Running out today to grab me a 12 gauge ! Thanks for all the support from all the members here to get me through the wait!
 
Timeline for my PAL, I did not contact them at all in this time frame.

13/11/12 - My application was received
03/12/12 - Showed up online as 'completed initial processing'
11/12/12 - Says licence has been issued

Timeline for my friends

13/11/12 - Application was received
03/12/12 - Showed up online as 'will be, or have been contacted by phone or by mail for additional information'
05/12/12 - Received letter in mail to call in to provide additional information
11/12/12 - Called in, answered one quick question, max 5 mins on phone including all waiting time. Immediately after, says licence has been issued online.

We are both in Ontario, and this was not for a RPAL. Pretty good I think considering the mandatory 28 day wait period and that's all we had to wait! No references were contacted for interviews.

Had my interview today, Dec 11
first reference done today as well
hoping to get second reference to call today when I can get a hold of him
My 28 day waiting period will be over Friday Dec 14th so it should be in the mail after that
 
Woohoo finally showed up online today I cant believe how sweet these words were to see....I have already faxed the test scores in so i will call tomorrow to verify

Well, here is my R/PAL timeline so far. Unfortunately my 28th day will be on Christmas eve! I have a feeling the holidays are going to slow down my overall wait, but here's to hoping otherwise.

Courses completed Nov 17/18th
Mailed express post Nov 21
Received on Nov 26 (stupid weekend!)- don't say that too often!

Still waiting for it to show up online but I figure that should happen sometime this week.

Don't wait for a letter or a phone call. Call them tomorrow and give them the info they need over the phone.

I'm glad to see you've been called. I'm also from BC and I'm running 2-3 days behind you. I'm more confident of a Thursday/Friday interview now. :D
 
Mine showed up on line today as well! :D

2012/11/21- PAL/RPAL delivered to MIRAMICHI! Still nothing on-line yet! Lets hope this process is a fast one lol! I will update as I go.

2012/12/11- Application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date. Coming a long!!
 
All interviews were completed today but my status still reads 'now in progress'
Either it does not update until the 28 days have expired or something is strange. I'm going to call tomorrow and ask what's going on...I'll ask about an ATT at the same time to give them something else to do
My waiting period expires Friday the 14th so I would like to see it mailed on Friday if possible...then I might just see it for Christmas

Called and checked what info they needed and it was only my safety course. Checked my status online and it had changed to this

Almost at the end of tunnel, was told i could try next week for interviews as they were not ready for me yet.
 
Hi, I sent my application last Tuesday via registered mail using Canada Post, but it's been a week and there have been no updates to my tracking... I went back to the post office to see if they left it on a counter or something and forgot to mail it, but the girl said there aren't any lying around (of course, she said that without checking). Any advice on what I should do? CFP website doesn't have anything show up either, but I don't expect it to show up that quickly anyway.

Mine went from Victoria to Miramichi in 3 days....I sent it registered so I rec'd notification by email from the post office on delivery. I was able to see the signature of the receiver on the Canada Post web site. You should be able to check your tracking number on their web site. If you have not got a notice of delivery then it's still with Canada Post...you may have got caught up in the Christmas Card Flood
