Shorten PAL Approval Times

Best to phone them every so often. With their current state of taking for friggin ever, asking them if all of your info is right and some nudging here and there to remind them to work on it is pretty necessary it seems. I'm going for once a week calls at this point, now that they have confirmed they received the fax with my test results.

Thx. Was a bit confused. I thought he was swapping his PAL for an RPAL (which I guess he is) but you need a PAL to get an RPAL so you can't just skip PAL and get an RPAL first. There clear as mud

Swapping from a PAL to RPAL is an upgrade where you do need the PAL first of course... but if you do both at once they never issue you a PAL alone.. it goes straight to RPAL. It is one of the few aspects of this FUBAR mess that actually has some logic to it. Which is irony in a way since the system is designed and used to frustrate us as much as legally (and illegally in many cases) possible..
 
So I just got off the phone with tech support to help me set-up my web account......great help on her part need to use IE7 to get the submit and continue button to work.

She then asked me about my application and told me the reason it hasn't been upgraded to in progress is because all they are currently doing right now is entering them into the system to say they are there they aren't actually putting in all the info so that interviews can be started ect....

Said there is a 6 week backlog of paper on the desks.

So once again they show they are stupid since that is not only way outdated and not even close to secure that means it's using an AX script etc as well which makes it even worse :mad:

Not to mention the BS intentional delays they are doing...
 
Finally the excruciating PAL wait is over

Application showed up online: May 3rd
Processed and Issued: July 18th

Total 76 days. I was actually starting to think that it may take half a year or somethin
 
April 7 - test.
May 21 - Received by CFC.
June 27 - CC charged.
July 12 - showed up as processing on the website.
July 17 - RCMP called me and my references.
July 18 - status changed to issued.

Why such a long time between test and received? Did you wait for the test results page to come back from the ###### CFO in Bantario?
