Shorten PAL Approval Times

Tried calling today, get the high call volume thing but instead of being put on hold it just hangs up, been like that all day wtf.

I called them in the morning like 9am...was waiting for 5 minutes and the call dropped I called again and did my interview...I asked my references to call one of them told me she tried more than 5 times until get through.
The other one is trying right now...they're horrible to say the least....

About 3 weeks ago I got a letter from the RCMP asking for some more info on a question I didn't add an explanation letter to, which I faxed in the Next day.

Now today I received another letter in the Mail asking for me to call for me to give more Information. Not sure if this is common, but I am going for my RPAL.

I was wondering if some one else has received a letter, all it told me was to call the RCMP and dial their applicant Information extension.

Can anyone one help me with some info on this

Thank you

Mailed my application August 19th
Received August 28th
Called in October 7th and 21st got nowhere
November 18th status online changed to license issued
Received in the mail November 28th.

Did they call you and your references for interviews or just issue the license?

It's normal, they don't seem to call you, they just mail a letter. That's why it's quicker to call often and ask if they need anything and what's the hold up.

LOL thanks....I did this forum came in so handy I was checking it everyday. Also my instructor where I took the course gave me some good advises as well.
Stuff like, "send a money order is faster than paying with credit card or personal cheques, wait to send it complete with your course results to avoid delay, copy your entire application before send"

So all done good stuff.... \0/

Hmm.. actually sending it w/o the course results is faster.. esp if you scan/photocopy them before they are sent off to the CFO to be stamped. As for MO vs CC.. a CC is faster since it's done electronically.. vs a MO has to be verified good via the banks etc first. Who was your instructor?

Also.. based on your post I assume you are in bantario... now give that poor horse back it's shoes! LOL

LOL....yeap I'm in bantario...lol

I took the course with Firearms Academy Canada FAC...they were pretty good.

Now I want to joint the firearms association....are you part of any??? If you don't mind....

Thought so.. since last I checked the ###### wyatt is the only one demanding such stupidity in Canada.

Don't know that one..

And I'm NFA and NRA currently.

I got a letter in the Mail yesterday asking me to call in to give information, as it turned out they wanted to do my interview for my RPAL. I asked the lady if I could get my references to call in and she said yes.

Now I had one of them call today and either the same lady or another said that they couldn't do the interview and that they would have to wait a few days until they received their own letter in the mail to call.

I've read allot on here about references being able to call in and were successful. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this

Anyone got any thoughts on this?
