hey guys
i was just wondering where and how much it wold cost to shorten my vz barrel, its the 15.5 inch barrel andi want it shorter, any ideas?

Shortening it would create a prohibited device. You need to have a new one installed. Better yet, just buy an CSA carbine.

Dlask was quoting $400-ish, IIRC to install a new barrel.

$350 gets you this FAT Lother barrel plus 1 big smile.

I'd just sell it and buy one of the many shorter options. It'll almost surely be a lot less trouble, and cheaper.
Not really.
From the EE this 1 was $500 shipped then $350 for the barrel change. That means $850 taxes in. Now brand new 1's go for $900 plus taxes. Also CSA reciever's are not the same as the other 3 companies. So to save myself the headaches on fitting parts I called up Dlask and got them to do this job for me.

yeah but to spend an extra 250$ you can have a whole new gun and accessories and njot have to wait for it to get worked on. Plus the new CSA's are thicker reciever's period and they come with scope mount bases ready for mounts.

Really???
How about the time to mod your accesiorees to make them fit cause some of the ones that you pre-paid to put on you just didn't like?
How about if you don't like the whole side mount B.S. and when you take it off you have these 2 gaping wholes on the side of the reciever.
How about the savings in wieght and the ability to have all 858 spare parts a 100% compatible?
How about with that extra $350 that you are to save you can afford that drum in the picture? Instead of promising some one that you will buy it and have them spend there hard earn money & time making 1 for you just to have the person tell you naaaa but thanx though.
So bfiles take ur H:S: & go tell it on the mountains!
O.P. 2 weeks is what it took me to get it like this & I think it wasn't that long.

WOAH!!!

You really need to relax, cuz when did I tell you NAAAAA????????
I didnt but I am not looking for it now, cuz of the way people react on assumptions!!!!.

And I dont have to tell anything on the mountains cuz this is a internetboard and it is used for opinions

The Dlask route is a great alternative if you've already got a restricted that you love and is setup/accessorized the way you like but just want a shorter barrel. I was also quoted $350 with a 2 week turnaround.

You guys were quoted $350 from dlask? last time I asked it was near $500, but a barrel change to non-res was what I wanted.
