Hey, here my new shotgun, a Remington 870 LW Special Upland Field in 20ga with the *English* stock.
It was owned by a friend.
Its not mint but it still in VG condition.

Its such a neat little shotgun, its very handy !
The barrel is only 21 inch long and it came from factory threaded for chokes ( with 3 Rem-Chokes ).

I bought if for small game hunting and also for my girlfriend.

The thing is, the buttstock is a bit long for her.

Is there any aftermarket or factory Remington shorter buttstock for this LW receivers ?
Can't find alot of infos about LW 870 stock options on the net...

Does the LW receiverd share the same stock and forend than some other 870 models ?

EDIT : don't worry, I will not cut down that beautiful English stock.

Here is the LW Special ( even got a vintage box of practice ammo  ) :

very nice classic stock.

i do know if the lw can have the same fitting but we did put some 20 ga synthetic stock in for officers with smaller frame. it was done with the help of gravel.

I think regular 20ga ( non-lw ) have the same receivers as the 12ga.

A very nice guy pm'd me and he told me :

All 760, 7600, 740, 742 and 7400 plus all LW 870 stocks will fit your gun including 28ga and 410

That sure open some options...

I'm pretty sure there was/is a Remington youth buttstock, but probably wasn't the English style. Hogue has one in 12.5 inch pull. and it would be easy to have it changed for the days da missus is using it! That way you can keep the walnut for when you get a new girlfriend who doesn't shoot.jk. BTW I just love that LW!

That’s a real nice looking shotgun, great stock. How much too long is it for her, I wonder if you can find a thinner plastic butt plate intstead of the thicker on that’s on it right now? Might take it down an inch.

haha !!

Youth stock would be a good option.

The English stock is a keeper for sure... and my gf too ;)

Maybe an inch or two too short.

I would like to have a soft buttplate for my gf but thanks, it was a good idea tho.
