Shortest Legal Handgun in Canada

My buddy is pi$$ed that he can't buy any of the cool 3" & 4" semi-auto's that are available in the U.S.

What are some of the shortest overall length handguns (semi-auto) that can be bought in Canada? I know the barrel has to be <106mm. Price is not a concern, so any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
 
P&D has a H&K P2000 that looks short....7" that might be the one.

Edit: WTF? H&K's website lists that as having a 3.66" 93mm barrel?

Add a w and you are there. Walter has had some great deals on the grade B P7PSP. They are beautiful little pistols, slight wear, for around 825.

Thanks for the info everyone. Wow that P7M8 is freakishly short.
 
Wolverine has the V1 LEM (light pull) with nightsights for only a little more than what some of the stores are selling V3 DA/SA P2000's with NO night sights.

I bought from Wolverine's after a local store told me " nope, no one can get the LEM P2000's into Canada ".
 
If it wasn't for the 'nub' of the extended barrel the P2000 is about the same length overall as a P7M8.

If you do get a P7M8, order recoil springs from Wolff springs and get Wolverine to order you a few Firing pin bushings and sear levers...according to the Cult of the P7, these are the parts most likely to break. extra drop safety/drop safety spring and extra extractor/extractor spring wouldn't hurt either.

I have the following and like them all for USA Carry:
Glock P26 9mm
Glock P30 45ACP
(see Questar for drop in replacement barrel to make them Canada legal)
I have the ported barrel on my G26 and it is outstanding and about the lightest to carry if that is your intent, which it appears to be. The only thing that bugs me is the fact that a light trigger pull will make BANG. I prefer to have TWO simultaneous events to make BANG (like a grip safety).
H&K P7M8 Squeeze Cocker
(Absolutely love it despite the price and feel very comfy carrying it even in my pocket as even with one in the tube it is about as safe as it gets due to the need to squeeze #### it AND pull trigger at the same time. Beware though, the mag release is on the side of the trigger guard)
H&K P7PSP Squeeze Cocker (older version of P7M8)
Same comments except mag release is at bottom of grip. Love it.
Walther P99 9mm and 40 cal. Although I don't feel as safe carrying as with the H&K's mentioned; I do carry them OWB with a good retention holster that covers the trigger guard.

There are others but you get the idea. Caution and care... practice and practice are the keywords here. As has been said, the best safety is the one between your ears. The No. 1 cause of AD/ND's on guns that are carried with one in the tube or that only require a single action to make BANG? Leaving your finger in the trigger guard while reholstering. Bang.

The P7M8 costs aroung $2K; the P7PSP around $950 (w taxes and shipping). Both are excellent; my preference is for the P7M8 just because it is newer. (sic) Also, there is talk about the P7M8 not getting as HOT as the P7PSP during range shooting as it has some sort of heat shielding that the P7PSP does not.

I am sending my P7PSP's out to get them plated so they look spiffy like the ones on the HK forums.

Where are you sending them???
 
The Ruger P345 is small, cheap and its a GREAT gun. 106 mm barrel, and there were no modifications to make it legal in Canada.

I am thoroughly impressed with mine, and I have NEVER been impressed with an auto-loading centerfire Ruger before.

The 345 is in no way a SMALL gun. She is one chunky thing.
