We have all seen horror stories of long wait times for RPAL. In an effort for those of us who are waiting for ours I would like to know the shortest wait time for RPAL from mailbox to mailbox.
My R-PAL application was submitted on March 19 and according to the CFC website, it was mailed today. Not quite in the mailbox yet, but i'm sure it won't be long before it gets here.
I'm in Ontario btw.
I had my RPAL card in hand in 35 calendar days. The PAL number was given to me over the phone on the 31st day. This was ~9 months ago.
A family member who passed the course at exactly the same time as me but didn't mail his app in right away had his approved on the 28th day and card in hand a few days later. Again, a little under 9 months ago.
Woohoo!! Got my PAL. Took less than a month. About 25 days to issue it. Then I had to wait an extra week and a half for it to come in the mail. Not too bad... Pretty damn good compared to some people.
well it finally arrived. Mine was received Oct 31 and I received it today so almost 6 weeks. I did call after the 28 days to see what was up and they processed it that day. It took 8 more days in the mail. So I am off to the store tomorrow.
To get my first RPAL I think it took between two and four weeks (not really sure of the timespan anymore). It was an unexpectedly short time, however. Being an Albertan certainly helped that, from what I've heard.
mine should be here this week.....mailed nov 3, "initial processed" dec 8 they phoned and said it was done.....hurry up mail- I need my PAL # to have the gun I bought in the ee shipped.
Mailed mine in on November 7th 2008, received it in my mail box on December 19th 2008... All in all, I guess it could've been much, much worse... lol!
Now I'm off to join a club tomorrow and the next day I am planning on starting a transfer on 3 restricteds I have had my eye on for a loooooong time. Too long, actually.
