The shotgun was open but it kinda got me too. I watched it a few times and I would change the buddy I go shooting with.

I don't care if your finger has an owie, a 12 gauge will kill you. Suck it up and respect the gun and your shooting partner.

I had someone once... An old guy not really into guns but wanted to try, shoot one of the .22's. It was a gevarm semi-auto open bolt blowback rifle. He fired half the shells and then with his hand still on the grip and finger still on the trigger turn towards us and ask us a question, pointing it at my stomach. I almost dug a hole for him that afternoon. I guess you never assume anything with a loaded gun. I assumed he wasn't that stupid. Lesson learned and the end of the friendship.

I always thought the dlask forarms were freaking stupid. just proves my point.

Not specific to the Dlask. I see that happen with regular 870 forends (short Police and longer Wingmaster models) as well, it gets pinched between the receiver and the back of the forend.

you do know certain gevarms were capable of full auto fire when something would break inside- that coupled with a long mag - well you can figure the rest- it was kind of neat to watch if you knew what was happening- what was wrong with your friend was FOCUS, not stupidity- it OCCURED for him to ask a question and forget about WHERE THE GUN WAS POINTING- we see this all the time at the range- for some reason, some people have to LOOK AT YOU to get your attention- that's still waht causes 3/4 of the car accidents today- the mind goes off the road and onto whatever else is going on- same deal on the range- your mid should be focussed on what YOU'RE DOING,and your sights downrange at ALL times when you're on the line

I've experienced the dirty gun/low velocity .22 shell bang...bang...bang... bangbangbang.... with that .22. grouse never knew what hit it.

I wonder what a mag full of longs would do.

Having it pointed at me was one of those thigns that smartened me up in the big picture though. I am much more concious of it now, even 10-12 years later.
