Haven't been monitoring much lately and thought I'd look into shorties but looks like vendors are sold out. Wondering if Shorties are coming back or is EE the only source these days.

wtf are you talking about? the only diff is that the barrel is 4 inchs shorter=other than that, they're an m14 clone- just b/c they've got a shortened barrel DOES not make them blow up- and be specific in your examples

from what I heard, they aren't gonna be importing the long barreled norc m14's for now, only the shortys, there is supposed to be new stock in late January, early feb..
This is the current rumors at the range, anyway ;)

are shorty's really hard to find? last time i checked canadaammo had em in stock. And I've never heard of shorty's in particular having a problem with the barrel flying off. But then again, maybe they do? all i know is i have a shorty and my high powered phallus is still intact

They sell fast, so the simple trick is to start saving at least $600 now, so when a store announces a new batch all you do is click on the buy button.

When there were a lot of shorties earlier this year, there were also a lot of people who keeps saying "I want one!" - but then they don't have the money, or the urge to really buy one or preferred to wait, thinking the shorty will always be available.

Still there were a some who bought it by impulse just because of the amazingly cheap price and ammo package deals - I think those are the rifles that ended up being sold in EE.

Just be patient, those Chinese machining students are working hard to produce them, a new batch will arrive in Canada's shore soon

Marstar states they won't bring em in until issues are resolved with the rifle but won't say why i think it is the timing and gas block problems they are having with both models.
