Cringe! I love the longer barrels. I guess you have to choose the rifle that fits your hunting method. Maybe a model Winchester 1894 or a Remington 7600 carbine would a good choice.
I like shooting long barrel guns with irons. But when it’s comes to hunting and I’m packing it 99.99% of the time. I don’t like them.
I got a CZ 452 lux. It’s a pleasure to shoot. Best off hand gun I own. But I plink and walk the gopher fields with it. So the length is not a problem
