Shorts

Bought a box of 22 shorts to try in one of the 22lr that I have, but I was thinking will it be a pain to use LR later.
Would there be a lot of crap to clean out of the chamber so I could go back to LR.

Not necessarily. I use CCI CB Shorts, and they're pretty clean. I go back and forth between the shorts and LR without concern. I haven't put tons of them through my rifle, but I didn't notice it being particularly dirty.

Definitely not after 1 box! With the staggering variety of .22lr out there, 22 short is a novelty to me unless you have something REALLY old that is only chambered in 22 short.

The shorts are fun, but the CB Shorts are even better. All you hear is the *click* of the firing pin hitting the rim. The downside is that bullet drop is significant at anything beyond 20-25 yards.
