Good question.
The full-size JW-15A (650 mm barrel) with wood stock is ~2.6 kg, so it should be considerably lighter.
I'm really eager to see some detailed pictures/specs!

Its like other things in life.
You can sit around, saving yourself for that one thing you are dreaming about. But eventually you are going to go and find something else that knocks your socks off.
I guess that when this gun finally comes along it will be that great new thing. Until then, I am not holding my breath. There are too many other guns out there I havent shot yet.

Me too, I have decided to work on making my own with a Savage Mk.II action and a short Shilen 77/22 barrel.
If/when these become available I will probably still pick up at least one for my kids to use. But I'm not placing too many eggs in this basket in the mean time.

Well, I have enough .22s to keep me shooting, so the ETA on this one isn't that big a deal. However, like everyone, I have a budget and "gun money" comes and goes like the tides.
I AM hoping that when (if) they do finally hit our shores, that there are enough of them. There is a a 50/50 chance I'll be scrambling to get the $ together...will have probably just BOUGHT another gun, etc.

Yea, the only thing this .22 has over building your own is a tiny price tag.
