Shorty M14 presale + .308 ammo deal

we will announce if the brass deal is a go. It is a ways off.

Basically, yes. We may ship the rifles first, then the ammo. It makes packing faster.

I know you probably wont see this till monday but its on my mind now so ill fire away. You noted in post #203 that rifles and ammo are likely shipping seperately. I ordered a rifle only. If you do offer the ammo deal later for $899, and we already have the m14 in possession, will we still be able to get the 1000rds of brass .308 for only $450 more?

No, they need to be ordered together. I have no date on that ammo. It could be a month, it could be a year, or never.

I handled one today at the local historical arms show as CanAm was there. Much smoother than previous m14's I have seen. I think I'm going to head back and pick one up.

Well,

I hate to rub it in, but I just got my rifle/ammo deal. WOW!! These guys at Canada Ammo, Chris, and Paul are super easy to deal with and were really helpful in getting an extra rifle for a buddy. I guess now I make some money back selling him a little ammo. So course, at a fair price!!!!!

Thanks again you guys.

Black Synthetic Stock Quality

As I've been reading over the years a very popular mod to the Norc M14S was to swap out the Chu wood stock and replace them with any of a myriad of options. The point being that while the Chu wood had very good water and mildew resistance, the wood was considered to soft to make for an reliable stock.

However, I haven't heard much on the quality of the Norc Synthetic stocks though. Any reason, aside from esthetics, that they shouldn't be as reliable as many of the other sythetic options out there?

I had an attempted package delivery today, and wasn't home. So unfortunately I will have to sit around here all day tomorrow waiting! But, I guess it will be worth it!

Not exactly the kind of package I want left on my doorstep all day.

Same here, Canpar should at least have a phone number where you can call the delivery guy or write down at which time they will attempt the second delivery.

No kidding. I got home about 30 mins after he was by. I phoned them, on hold for about 20 mins, and the guy on the phone had no info about my delivery at all. Not even that it was in the mail. So I had no chance to see if the delivery guy was still in town. Turns out my girlfriend will be around the house tomorrow so I'm going fishing!
