Yes , not sure if these were soldered on as well like one of my Polytechs was.
I think I may have read that the N.Z ones are not soldered ( not sure though)
Even if they are it isnt too hard to remove the flashhider.

Even if the flash-hider is solid...use it for hunting...it's more crud-resistant. Keepshooting.com has Mil-Spec USGI flashiders for $30 bucks & the tool for less than $10.
