Shorty M1A, M14, M305 projects ...

I put my shorty into this camo stock just for pictures ... all the metal will be getting painted OD green and put into a McMillan pistolgrip folder stock that is to be painted in TW cadpat ... she's coming along and I'm happy! :D

Thanks spearhunter ... I dug thru my crawl space/cupboard tonight and found the McMillan pistolgrip folder stock ... she's going to get a ARMS #18 mount, either a Leupold or S&B or nightforce scope(can't decide on which), spring guide and I put a GG&G bipod on her ... :D

Out of curiosity where did you find a USGI barrel to shorten without having to scrap a prohib?

Very nice rifle... what is the weight?
 
cim330 I'm not sure of weight ... after I'm finished putting her together how I want to ... I'll weigh her and see and post. Thanks I love this rifle. Let's see some more shorty's ... :D

It's not finished yet, but... it's a 2009 Polytech receiver with a 2007 Norinco shorty barrel. Trigger group is Polytech with GI internals. USGI springs throughout. Stock is an early Troy MCS MkII with MkI style allen key fasteners. It's factory anodized in flat dark earth (FDE). Brake is Dlask bull brake. Grip and stock are Magpul CTR and MIAD in FDE. Forward grip is Tapco. USGI op rod. Gas system is 2005 Norinco.

I have a HRT USGI bolt in it for show but that has to go back into my other match M14. This one will get the 762mmfirearms bolt that should be here around the end of the month.

Not pictured are the Leupold MkIV tall aluminum rings and Leupold VXIII 3.5-10x50 scope with M1 turrets and mildot reticle and a 1/2" Magpul FDE ckeek riser.
