If you look on the previous page you'll see TWO different norincos wearing the Troy MCS stock from that video, one in black the other in tan. Actually, I'm lying - one of the rifles is a Polytech.

I've whipped another special all inclusive package for those wanting a complete shorty build...... check out the link in my sig line ;)

I have two 18" M14s, a MK14 SEI Mod 0 and what is essentially a stripped down Mod 1.
Pictures of these two are posted everywhere ;)

Thank you for the tip Newfie... here is a video of the Mod 0 in action

for sale??? :D

Everything is for sale for the right price ;) Still to come on this rifle (for certain):

1) HRT bolt is going to get replaced with a new 762mmfirearms bolt with all new bolt internals and it will get lapped to this receiver. I've already ordered the new bolt - just waiting for it to arrive. It should ship very soon.
2) NEA extended mag relase will be added. just waiting for it to get here in the mail.
3) Most of the major steel components will get stripped and re-parked to the same color, just waiting for the above two bits.

And by the way, the rifle, if it ever sells, will be more expensive than many people will spend on an M14. My labour is cheap... properly fitted M14 chassis systems and good USGI parts are, unfortunately, not so cheap. The scope alone is stupid expensive... just the leupold custom shop mods to the turrets and reticle cost $300! Though admittedly, if I ever sell it, it doesn't need to come with the scope ;)

You should see my other M14... lol. Probably have at least as much money wasted on it ;) At the moment I only have two though... the other one is not a shorty and has all USGI parts except the barrel and receiver and wears an ARMS18 mount, ARMS rings, Sadlak bipod mount, Rooster33 cheek riser, and a bushnell 3200 10X mildot scope. I'm thinking of swapping the cadpat glass stock with selector kit on it though for a USGI walnut stock (that I would bed) and a lace-on cheek pad because traditional can also be very cool.

Were did you find that tanker barrel H2O MAN?
Also were did your fun switch go to?

The barrel is a rare chrome lined 18.0" 4 groove 1:10 ROT tube from SEI.
The same barrel is still available in chrome-moly only.

I have no use for a functional selector switch, but I have considered filling the cut-out with one of those fake selector switches.

There is a very good chance that I will put this barreled action in a new BullDog stock.

Stay tuned.

I still think the stock system is so very weird. Unfortunately not having the chance to play with one, my thoughts are pure speculation.

However, with this bullpup configuration, it would seem shooting makes for a possible messy affair. With the proper head position and cheek weld, one has brass, crud, flying in front of the shooter's eye.

Also, since this does not make use of the Israeli style oprod knob mod, running through the drills with the oprod handle so close to the shoulder seems non-ergonomic even with a palm up slap pull with the right hand.

All that and my concerns are just for right-handed shooters. I can only imagine that for a lefty it may be even more awkward with the brass and all. Then how does a lefty get a cheek-weld on the stock with that oprod bashing back?

I need to see one of these in action.

One last thing about the Short Rifles/Bull Dog chassis....(and generally any bullpup conversion)

We pretty much already know the trigger squeeze will be garbage. Although it makes use of a standard trigger assembly, the additional trigger bar and mechanism on the stock chassis itself does not even probably interlink with the original trigger. It's like buying a toy hand grapler that one squeezes to curl the fingers which squeeze the trigger.
