NEW Dlask PWS clone compensator, prototype scope mount, Bushnell Scopechief VI 4X with BDC, LAZ's folding stock.

and shortly you can weigh the new M14S-CQB stock, which is without a doubt the lightest M14 stock availlable to Canada. Mass production (if i can call it that) is well under way ;)

I've got some solid info on stock weights, although i do not have a troy here to weigh and i need to find my notes on the Vltor but here is what i have found

Poly/rinco Plastic stocks with buttplate weigh on average 3 lbs 4 ounces

Chu wood stock (i only have one here and it's super light but still a soft piece of crap) with buttplate 2 lbs 7 ounces

USGI walnut with buttplate (weighed 2) 3lbs 4 oz

USGI fiberglass (connector/selector filled) with buttplate 3 lbs 2 ounces

SAGE EBR (new canadian import) 5 lbs 11 ounces

ICRW M14S-CQB with grip and commercial 6 position buttstock and forward sling loop 2lbs 7 ounces

ICRW M14S-CQB with full 12" understock rail, grip and commercial 6 position buttstock an even 3 lbs
(M14S-CQB with no furniture, no rail is only 1 lbs 12ounces :dancingbanana: )

anyone have a troy mcs to weigh or a JAE?

im going to go out on a limb and say that looks like leo cormiers work. mostly because it looks identical to the one leo did for me. if it is, leo turns out these us navy style in his shop. i was talking with leo this evening, if anyone is interested in these breaks, pm and ill let leo know, or i can put you in touch with him.

What do you think of the Dlask brake? Is the gun much louder than before? How about muzzle rise and recoil? I am having a Dlask brake installed on my M305 this week, so I am eager to hear from others who have it.

Lot's of my clients are sending me excellent feedback on the Dlask BULL brake. Like the NAV-14 , I can claim responsibility for giving these two muzzle devices thier new names hehehe

as for shorty M14/M1a projects, this gem of a rifle was a pure pleasure to build, I'll post one pic as I think it's owner that had me build it for him will probably want the honours of posting the run down on the items in the build. Shortened and rethreaded by Jeff Smith @ Valley Gunsmithing. Vortex flashhider, Wolf springs, marstar op-rod spring guide, EoTech 552, Marstar AKM Chassis, nice fat ergogrip for my large cabbage grabbers, C7A2 style butt, Magpul XTM rail panels, CAA folding front grip.

It is extremely front heavy, but it doesn't bother me too much. Shoots like a dream, and has been doing me well since 2006. Maybe got 5000 rounds through her. Mostly handloads.

If anyone is interested in one, or in a similar one incorporating the front sight; let me know and I can speak with Leo and get one made for you. Pics of both styles available upon request.

We will be releasing in the new year our new custom brake's that will eliminate all muzzle rise and extremely decrease the felt recoil. This muzzle brake is in the final stage's of testing & will be made for those who decided to chop there barrel and use the 1/2"-28 threading.

Take a special look at what he did to my gas block. This is the cat's meow! been out several time's shooting since him & his wicked welder buddy hooked me up with this ultimate front post mod for shorties. I have yet to re-zero my rifle no matter how many times I have taken on and off my gas assembly. Truly recommend it to anyone wanting to shorten the M14. Plus I can use my same tools to take on and off my flash hider (for cleaning my crown & hider) and also my tunning fork for disassembling the gas assembly.
