It would be non res with a 18.5" or longer barrel. But good luck getting the US DOS to allow its export.

Thats exactly what I thought. The bolt/carrier look almost exactly the same and the similarities in the gas system are uncanny. I guess if I were to design my own rifle i'd work off the G36 too.

From what I have research and watch from Future weapons, it is the same idea Gas Piston method first used in AR-18

I actually like the prototypes better. I dunno what it is, but the new "production" rifle makes me go m'eh....The prototypes and even the rifles from last years SHOT Show were more appealing. I think I'd stick with my SIGs even if this was available in Canada right now.

Talked to the Remington /Bushmaster rep about the ACR I was told they are working out the reliability issues and it will not be ready till the 4th quarter of 09

Remington/Cerebus and Magpul are working on the ACR - Magpul owns it - BM/Rem only has production rights...

As for the Massoud - it looked nice - those barrels have been hit and miss, mostly miss... Never saw it shot at the SOCOM shoot on Wednesday though
