Shot a GSG-5 today

It may help us if they lose again, as it strengthens our side.

PM, can we get a copy of the appeal statement?

You could phone the milton court house (905-878-4165 x. 3428 [ask for Edith]), and ask them. They often will fax a copy of the filing. Sometimes you have to fax them a written request, but give them a call and see.

It is true though that if they lose, we get a stronger case to use.

Their appeal was properly filed within the applicable deadline.

They may be appealing on the grounds that the judge stated a gun had to be full-auto, among other things, to be considered a variant of the AK.

That's not strictly what was said. What was said by Justice Cooper is that the firearm did not have the same qualities to make it prohibited as an AK, specifically the capacity to fire full auto, and that without that capacity it was up to the legislature to prohibit items by OIC's.

That's still huge.

So we are looking at likely another 2 years for this to be resolved, if the appeal is allowed?
If the appeal is not allowed, how much longer should it take?

Hmm, A late appeal. Do you think a regular citizen would have their appeal accepted ?

My tinfoil hat might be on a little tight, but my thoughts are that the appeal was filed at the last possible moment... perhaps they're buying themselves a little bit of time for the Liberals to come back in, at which point everything goes?

CanAm, please don't post it. If you post it, everyone will come up with the holes in their arguments, and those will be there for the world to see (including the antis).

However, if you email it to me, I'll give it a good dissection.

Its basically the shotgun approach. They say the judge was wrong on pretty much everything. This is pretty standard, and they display no evidence to support their causes for appeal.

However, it does disclose the address of Mr. Henderson, and I'm going to see about giving him a call. Anyone interested in starting a fund for him to hire a lawyer?
