Shot a GSG-5 today

I got to play with one of these when I was in the UK. They wanted around 500 GBP for it so its probably going to be at least $1000 Canadian.

Both reviews I read, Shotgun News from the U.S. and Gun Mart from the UK, indicated significant reliability issues with frequent jamming. They are very cute though......

I talked to his wife and I'm assuming his daughter (nice people), and explained the situation. He was at work, and will call me back.

Money is the issue, and especially when it is a 300$ rifle, which is why he has been self-represented.

I offered any help I could provide, and also told her that we could probably raise some money for a legal fund.

So, What I'd like to do is have people PM me with dollar amounts. These have to be firm pledges. If people can commit to a certain amount to be given to his lawyer (when he hires one), in trust, for defending on appeal.

What I'd like to be able to do is give him a dollar amount that is pledged already when I next talk to him. That way he will be able to reasonably know how much he will have towards a lawyer should he hire one.

I'm still talking with greentips about this:

Better to get permission than ask for forgiveness!

But, the basic set up will be:

You will give a pledge, a binding committment to give.

I'll liason with mr. Henderson, and if we can raise enough, we'll have people donate directly to his lawyer, in trust.

Rubbish. Likely GSG just didn't want to take it to court. Various Us companies make MP5 clones without a license from HK. Even the Chinese make one, I wonder if HK will sue them. Damn US tort laws.
