Shot........armalite 7.62 X 39

This is interesting, a lot of new "western" assault rifles are being made in a 7.62 x 39 mm model... Why is that? I was thinking Spec Ops like the guy in Future weapons said about the Masada...any other reason...has there been new advantages found about the round?

New? ARs have come in that caliber for years. Id be surprised if it used a new bolt, because standard AR bolts for this caliber break.

So called 'reasoning' is that operators can use 'pick up' ammo. ie a unit of guys dropped into baddies zone...and re-supply is limited, so guys can use the capture ammo.

i remember my firerarm instructor told me
from a distance in the battlefield, u shoot enemy with 5.56nato,
the enemy will drop, but might wake up after a few seconds, shoot u once more and then die,
with the 7.62 x 39, the enemy drop, and dont wake up.... hahaha

I highly doubt it, I think the whole purpose of these rifles is strictly for the sporter market (civillian) and not military. I'm pretty sure that our forces don't use enemy ammunition.
7.62X39 is so cheap in surplus right now that these rifles would be perfect for, also for the ones that feel that 7.62 russian is superior.

Its a neat idea, and I have no problem seeing a good rifle come in many calibers, but personally I like the 5.56/.223

I suppose that there might be a market in countries that already use the calibre. I suspect that most sales would be on the civilian market.

That's a good story, closer to the truth is probably that if they leave large quantities of .223/6.8/"wonder cartridge" brass lying around people know who was probably there.

7.62x39 is deniable and generic everywhere.
