Hello everyone

i need to know which shotgun is good for trap and skeet
(am new in Guns world) First time user for shotguns just wanna know Semi automatic is good or Over and under for Trap and skeet

Thanks

As long as you can change chokes, you can use pretty much any shotgun for trap and skeet. How much of each do you plan on shooting? If you specialize, they have very different features.

Well first i was thinking to buy Franchi instinct L over and under then my friend suggested me Beretta Unico A400 xplore. now i am stuck in between em.

The A400 is a sweet shotty! I have used them many times for both skeet and trap but I chose to buy a couple Benelli Super Vinci's and absolutely love them! The take down for cleaning in the Super vinci is unrivalled IMHO.

I don't know what your budget is but typically a good O/U will cost more than a good semi. You definitely want removable chokes. A point to consider if you are going to reload is that some clubs have a "if it hits the ground it's ours" rule which means you're going to lose all the hulls you shoot out of a semi.

If you're just starting out get something in around a compromise 28" barrel length and have fun. If you like it then you will want a gun for each specific discipline.

The advantage of a over under is that you can have different ckokes in each barrel. With skeet you shoot one coming and one going at most stations. Ie first barrel improved cylinder second barrel modified or full

Modified or full for skeet? Not so much.

Most use skeet, IC or CYL. Mod and full are for the trap range.

I've just started shooting some trap with a semi auto Browning Maxus. I didn't like the idea of leaving all my hulls laying on the ground only to be picked up later. One of the guys at the club suggested a shell catcher, link below. In the mean time, an elastic band around the action stopped the empties from being ejected.

I ordered the catcher from Amazon, and will try it out this weekend.

ya i had my maxus at the trap range and the gun ejects spent casings a long way..i was hitting the guy next to me with them

Received the shell catcher in a few days from Amazon, and got out to try it today. Works great. I'm sure the guys beside me appreciate it ;)
