Shot my first Goose and animal ever today!

Congratulations! I like to cube the meat and put it in to a crock put with rice, veg, and chicken stock. Cook it low and slow for several hours.

Goose beats taste best cooked as a rare steak with Montreal steak spice and a touch of bbq sauce.

In my opinion actually taste far better than beef and I prefer it even over venison tenderloin!

Yum!

Yes, this or use it as stewing beef for stew, chili and curries!!!! Want to try it out in a pot pie with lots of Guiness!!! :)

Ha ha ha - pretty much. Sorry LouF - I don't need a book of fables to tell me I am doing the right thing.

It's a shame people don't take the time to find out what the bible really says.
That "book of fables" is the source of our free society and all the laws that protect us, give us freedom, and the opportunity for us to disagree here in civility and safety.

Went hunting this morning with a few friends from work. Shot a goose for the first time!
Other than the odd squirrel as a kid never have shot anything before. It was super fun and had a blast.
And the meat is really interesting tasting as well.

I agree.Knowledge is power and even if you don't agree with some religions they all point to keeping civilizations together.

Read Genesis..Chapter 9..from the Bible of course.https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+9

I'm also interested in knowing what the significance of that statement is.

When I first started to hunt 25 years ago people would tell me I was cruel and God will punish me for taking an animals life. This passage is God telling man (Noah) that all animals are for his food but the blood must be drained first.Just a little FYI from the guy upstairs in case you get called on the carpet from animal rights zealots.

Good stuff.Lotsa people tell me I'm going to pay for shooting deer/moose etc.I always have Genesis Chapter 9 on hand in my defense.

You need to be more specific...... I am no bible thumper..... but I will refer you to genesis 1:26.....
