Shot placement on black bear

Black Bears need to be anchored with the first shot. They have a habit of sucking up subsequent lead. Probably even TSX's from 30-06's.

The TSX have no lead. Only copper.

i prefer to do a shoulder shot and break em down,neck shot is iffy same with a head shot,you could hit the jaw and give the bear a lingering death,we keep shooting until its dead .usually bear does not go for when you break them down with the shoulder shot ,to low you hit the heart to high you spine em,to far back lungs and far forward neck,my 2 cents
