Shot placement?

WOW amphie you really are one angry young fellow... :p

You got me on missing the broadside comment but the rest of your comments you sure have your head where the sun has trouble shining... :D

Your serious head shots are the last shot I would take on a predator and suffocating on their own blood with a lung shot is a load of crap.

Put a bullet thru the lungs and the lungs are distroyed and unable to function resulting in a dead animal hard to suffocate when the organ can't do it's job and most hit the ground instantly.

I have shot dozens upon dozens of coyotes in the lungs with 223/22-250 and up only one ran any distance after I hit it in the lungs I shot it with a 180gr Norma hunting bullet from my 308 Norma Mag.

It was already dead it just didn't know it just like all the deer I have also shot.

i was huntin with my uncle and he shot the deer in the lungs broadside and we herd it gergle on it's blood before it ran away and it finally fell 60 yards away now imagin having that excrusiating pain of the bullet hole in you and not being able to breath and having to die like that

You must be:

a. new to hunting, and
b. not a bow-hunter

Please do some reading on the subject before posting such "PETA" BS. ;)

head and neck best shots you can get kills em instantly broadside is cruel cause the animal has to suffocate on there own blood or bleed to death very inhumane if you ask me if it's on the run punch some holes in it you will find it use a 30-06 with 125 grains no tracking involved no matter where you hit it but i shoot yotes cause there a nuisance i have no use for pelt so i blow em all to hell your better off to listen to the bolt action boysi guess
First off I will not insult , but try and teach you a few things.
First off shoot any animal like you did the first , the right way, a shot in the lung /heart area is choice.
Your comments on shoot 'em up coyote tells me your a child, and the 06 with a light bullet will blow the hide off the animal.
Guns kill by shock/tissue damage , no initial pain, and if hit hard will expire quick.
But to comment on blood loss , I killed a buck once, and it never even ran , just took a jump to the side, and carried on for a few steps , and fell over, this was a bow kill, and the blood leaked out real quick, the pass through did not hit a rib, so the animal had no idea what was going on..
Its hunting, and we must all care about the shot. Keep the sport of collecting some of the finest freshest food alive, and the animal dead, clean and simple:D
Head shots on deer , or any critter is not on period. Save the fancy shooting for the range, a starving animal without a mandible ( jaw) is not cool...

And missing by a couple inches on a headshot and striking the jaw would result in what??

you should know your limitations before takin that kind of shot my comfortable yardage id 65 yards and i hit them just fine if there stand and further than that ill aim for the base of the neck of if i have to ill do a broadside deal but im done now before i get banned

You will continue to do this until you wound one then if you actually decide to continue hunting you'll aim for the big spot...
