SABR doesnt use an AR15 lower.![]()
and the 417 does?
If you actually READ my post, you would see that i already said the 417 DOES NOT use a lower that is useable, or compatable with an AR15 or AR10 lower. It is completely different and proprietary.
The HK 416, IS compatable with standard AR15 lowers however.
Here's a Noobie question:
How can these rifles be listed as Non-restricted and the upcoming HK 417 be listed as (potentially) Restricted.
Let me guess. As Mom used to say: "Because I said so" ....?
WTF are you talking about? Are you not reading anything? You're projecting.
The other person said this;
They asked why potentially why the Masada would be non-restricted and the HK417 would be.
As for the SABR it uses a proprietary lower designed by a company that will do what it needs to to say it is not an AR15 variant, and I take them at there word. HK hasnt said that and wont.
Frankly its all potentially bulls**t, nobody knows what the RCMP will do.
Masada/ACR should be in the clear.
Anything else is doubtful but I will be more then happy to buy them.
Don't forget the idiots in in power said the Squire's Bingham .22 cal m-16 was a variant too! What a joke! thanks to kimie & windy!
the big question is "who voted for them????"
Actually, Kimmie was Justice Minister when C17 was passed. Mulroney was PM......
I hope it will be sub-$2000 if not cheaper.
Did anyone else see the MASADA shown on Weaponoligy yesterday?
It can be switched from 5.56. to 7.62x39 in seconds!
very versatile gun!

Did you notice that you switch the 556 LOWER for the 7.62x39 LOWER? That's not a conversion, that's two different rifles with a high degree of part commonality.
Actually I didn't see that part. I'll have to watch it again if it comes on.
BTW people you can get non-corrosive 7.62x39!
It just makes for a more versatile weapon.
Is that on the web somewhere? I'd like to see it.
On a related note, here's the XCR doing a 5.56 to 7.62 conversion, less than 1.5 minutes!
