Remington's answer to the noises of "M4 enchancement" is a monolithic piston driven upper. First of all, this is still a vaporware in a way as the earliest day, if it will be marketed, could be 2012.

The piston driven upper consists of a "mid stroke" gas system ( I am just repeating what I am told), which could be disassembled from the front, similar to the idea of the Colt LE 1020. The rail system, which is also adopted by the ACR, consists of a plug and play rail system, with routed paths for electric wires.

The barrel is exchange-able as it was fastened to the receiver by bolts, but it is not Quick Detachable like the ACR. Remington also stressed that the bolt carrier tilt problem had been addressed in this system.

ok i gotta ask, in that third pic, the one looking at the flash hider and gas block, is the daniel defense iron site not labelled up with an arrow pointing to the side?

perhap's it's designed for homey style or what:confused:

Yes, it's by AAC who is now under Remington. They were actually sharing a booth with Remington Military.

Here's a couple of cool AAC products including supersized, machine gun and supersized machine gun suppressors. The pictures don't do justice to the scale of the things.
