SHOT SHOW 2011 - Sabre Defence LSR 50 BMG

"You couldn't be more wrong.

.50 BMG is just a cartridge size. Canadian gun laws make no concern of what the gun shoots*, just how it shoots it. "

Well this is directly from the RCMP website;

The Criminal Code defines the following firearms as prohibited:

"handguns that discharge .25 or .32 calibre ammunition,"

:eek:

Further and further down the rabbit hole, eh?... jeebus, that's crazy. So, the company turned out to be black marketeers. I guess that explains why it's up for bids. Well, I hope this doesn't change the policies regarding the UK branch. I also hope the new owners don't ruin the company and cause it go under indefinitely.

Although if that did happen, my SDI carbine's value would increase significantly... :rolleyes:

I wouldn't worry about warranty... assuming this letter is true.

A few things have changed since that letter... like the owner of Sabre UK being arrested today, held for extradition for charges that carry a maximum sentence of 55 years total time.

Hopefully the UK company will continue, warranty aside, there isn't many quality AR manufacturers outside of the US... and the AR's coming from the US are subject to all those ridiculous export regulations.

Keep in mind it won't be exportable to Canada as 50BMG. I was hoping it would be made in the UK but if in the States chances are we won't be able to get them.
